Our Mission.

“With wood as my main material of choice I believe that it can be modern, fresh and contemporary. It is my aim to combine the modern designer’s eye for form, simplicity and usability, with the traditional techniques of the maker: craftsmanship, attention to detail and a rigorous understanding of the material. I aim for my pieces to be beautiful, appropriate and sustainable.”

We believe in craft and we believe in supporting modern craft in Britain. We have built up a network of highly skilled craftspeople and suppliers. We work with mirror makers in Portsmouth, metal working foundries in Inverness, our timber suppliers are in Wiltshire, The Lake District, Yorkshire and Hertfordshire. when ever we can, we try to employ local craftspeople and suppliers. As a result we work with some of the most talented and knowledgeable practitioners in these isles.

We want to invest in our collective future and as a result we believe in sustainability, not just of our raw materials but by investing in the crafts. It is our mission to help create a viable furniture industry for future generations. We believe it is important to keep these skills alive for future generations and we want the knowledge that has been built up over hundreds of years not to be lost.
